You can change or remove a Local Avatar at any time from the author’s profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exact screen depends on whether you are editing a registered WordPress User or a Guest Author, but the process is essentially the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Change an author’s custom avatar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Edit the author.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Locate the Profile Picture<\/strong> panel in the right-hand sidebar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Click Change Picture<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Select another image from the WordPress Media Library or upload a new one.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Confirm your selection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Save or update the author profile.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The newly selected image will replace the previous Local Avatar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Remove an author’s custom avatar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    1. Edit the author.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Locate the Profile Picture<\/strong> panel in the right-hand sidebar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Click Remove<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Save or update the author profile.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Removing the Local Avatar does not remove the author or any other profile information. It only removes the locally uploaded profile picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      What happens after removing the Local Avatar?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Molongui Authorship automatically tries the next available avatar source according to your global Author Avatar settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      For example, if Gravatar is enabled, the author’s Gravatar may be displayed. If no Gravatar is available and a Custom Default Avatar is configured, the Custom Default Avatar can be shown instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      If no other avatar source is available, no avatar will be displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      WordPress Users<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      For registered WordPress Users:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Users > All Users<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Edit the user.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Open the Author Profile<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Use the Profile Picture<\/strong> panel in the sidebar.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Guest Authors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        For Guest Authors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Open the Guest Authors<\/strong> screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Edit the Guest Author.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Use the Profile Picture<\/strong> panel in the sidebar.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Note:<\/strong> The Guest Authors menu location can be customized in Molongui Authorship, so it may appear under a different WordPress Dashboard menu on your site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Local Avatars must be enabled<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          The Local Avatar can only be displayed while Local Author Avatars<\/strong> are enabled in Molongui Authorship settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Disabling Local Author Avatars globally does not necessarily delete the image from the author’s profile. It simply prevents Molongui Authorship from using Local Avatars as an avatar source.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
