We keep improving our plugins by adding new features, improving code quality, and keeping them secure. These changes are then released as updates.<\/p>\n\n

You should always keep your WordPress plugins up to date to ensure that those changes are applied on your site immediately. This improves WordPress security and performance of your website.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

All Molongui plugins make use of the WordPress built-in update system. It automatically checks for updates and shows you notifications when there are updates available for your plugins, themes and WordPress core.<\/p>\n

You can also manually check for updates by visiting Dashboard > Updates<\/strong> page.<\/p>\n

When there is a new update available, you will see the notification on the plugins menu in the WordPress admin bar.<\/p>\n

The WordPress built-in update system might fail to notify about available updates. That usually happens when your site has a firewall or is kept behind a proxy server. Before you update the plugin, it\u2019s important that you click on the View version details<\/strong> link to see what changes we have made. This will keep you informed as to what changes were made should anything not work properly.<\/p>\n

If you have a heavy traffic site that is generating a lot of leads, and unless the version details specifically say security update<\/strong>, then we recommend you to wait one full week before updating the plugin. You can install these updates by visiting the Plugins page. You will see a notification below each plugin that has updates available for you to install.<\/p>\n

Your web browser, hosting server, and caching plugins can all serve cached content which can make it difficult for you to see the changes you made to your website right away. How to manually update a WordPress plugin<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

You might need to manually update a plugin. Here you have the step by step procedure you should follow:<\/p>\n

  1. Download the plugin .ZIP file.<\/li>\n
  2. Extract the .ZIP file.<\/li>\n
  3. Use a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Client to connect to your site’s server via FTP.<\/li>\n
  4. Navigate to the “wp-content\/plugins\/” folder and delete the folder of the plugin you’re updating.<\/li>\n
  5. Find the extracted plugin folder you just downloaded, right-click it, and press “Upload”.<\/li>\n
  6. Clear all your caches.<\/li>\n
