What’s the Difference Between Full and Short Bio?

When editing an author, you will notice you have two bio fields available: Full Bio and Short Bio. In this article we explain the difference between the two.

By default, author’s bio is displayed in the author box. And if your theme supports it, on author pages. However, if you have the Molongui Authorship Pro extension, you can display it wherever you need using the provided shortcode.

The full bio is intended to contain longer and more detailed information about the author than the short bio.

None of the two are mandatory, so you can choose to fill in both, one or none them. If you fill both fields in, the short bio content will be taken to be shown in the author box added to your posts. And the long bio will be displayed on author pages, if available.

If you have the Molongui Authorship Pro extension, both fields accept shortcodes.
